EMPLOYMENT
The State of Delaware is implementing the Delaware Employment Link (DEL), a new recruitment and hiring system on March 24, 2007. To transition from our current system to DEL, all postings in the current system will close on March 23, 2007. On March 24, 2007, all new jobs will be posted by individual position in DEL rather than using registers. For this reason, your application will no longer be valid for one year. With DEL, job postings will have specific information such as location, shift, and job duties. This will allow you to self screen and apply to only those that interest you. On March 24th, each time you apply to a posting you will submit an application that will be considered solely for that job, and it will remain effective until that job is filled. Remember to apply in DEL for each job posting if you think you meet the job requirements. In DEL, you can create a profile and application that can be easily saved, updated and reused for future job postings. DEL also allows you to sign up for e-mail notifications when openings in your desired field occur. Any application you submitted to postings prior to March 24, 2007 will remain active until the agency completes the hiring process for that particular position. If you have any questions or need assistance please contact the OMB/HRM Employment Services Office at 302-739-5458.
