Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Unit
Mission: "Helping DSCYF staff, providers, and customers know if DSCYF services are helping children and families"
General Description of Functions/Services
The purpose of the Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Unit is to support functions and activities within the Department of Services for Children, Youth, and Their Families that ensure programs undertaken by Divisions within the Department are mission-driven, outcome-focused, effective, and efficient.
Division programs and new initiatives should be the result of planning activities which provide a clear statement of program goals and objectives, expected program activities, and identified performance measures that track the program‘s intended outcomes for children and families.
Division program activities shall be monitored and evaluated to ascertain the degree to which the intended target populations are being served, whether the delivery of services is consistent with Department, Division, and program policies and procedures, and whether program services are producing the desired outcomes and results for the children and families served by the Department.
