Mowlds Cottage

Mowlds Cottage is a six week transitioning program which enables youth to be successful when placed back into the community. Mowlds Cottage develops aftercare services and provides counseling to the youth. While at the cottage, the youth get home passes and attend outside counseling programs such as Aquilla and Northeast Treatment. Mowlds Cottage also has a Work Coordinator who helps the youth obtain employment and/or return back to the public school system. A "Parents as Partners" program provides an opportunity for staff to work with parents on family issues and to help them communicate effectively with their children. This makes for a smoother transition back to the community.
