Visitation
While in Ferris, residents are allowed to have visitors from immediate family members, attorneys, agency personnel, and clergy. Even though visitation is different with each level, here are some of the guidelines: there is a maximum of three visitors, including children over the age of four, allowed per visit, all visitors will be contacted by the Treatment Specialist in order to schedule visitation, all visitors over the age of 12 much present a valid photo identification, visitors can not bring anything into the facility, visitors must report 15 minutes before scheduled visit, visitors must follow a dress code, YRC staff monitors all visits.
- Orientation: Within first four weeks, and the first weekend on every month
- Intermediate: Two one-hour visits per month, which will occur on the 2 nd and 3 rd weekend of every month
- Advanced: Three one-hour visits per month, which will occur on the 2 nd, 3 rd, and 4 th weekend of each month. Also, one special visit. This visit is open to male and female friends and is limited to a maximum of six visitors.
- Honors: One and one-half hour visit once a week, which will occur every weekend of the month
